Cute Whimsical & Inspiring: Art by Laura Manfre

Artwork by Laura Manfre

So it's Monday, and this post is most certainly not a nail day monday post. I wish it was, but last week was Valentine's Day. I planned an epicly cute themed manicure for the occasion only to keep messing it up - fixing it - messing it up - finally giving up. Don't you just hate when that happens? But, I'm really hoping to have something cute to share with you guys next week. I just bought a nail art pen from forever 21 and just have to give it a try and a little review. So look for that next Monday! ^^

Anyway, I'm sure you will forgive my lack of nail art posts when you lay your eyes on the gorgeous illustrations above and below. Every single one was done by artist Laura Manfre. I know I have often neglected doing enough indie and artist features, but sometimes someone's work just pushes me into it because I am so in love. That is definitely the case with Laura's work. I first spotted it on the Pony Chops blog a while back, and then paid Laura's blog and etsy shop a visit. I literally get so excited when I see a new post from her blog pop up in my feed because I get to enjoy a little bit of eye candy! It really makes my day much better.

Laura is self taught, never having gone to art school and is actually a law school drop-out who left college to pursue her artistic passion. I really wish I had the courage to do that - it sounds like my ideal life! ^^ She specializes in custom pet watercolor portraits which can be purchased in her etsy shop. She also lists stickers from time to time, which I just love and am dying to get my hands on some, especially those cute little vintage style lambs and unicorns! All of her work has this dreamy and nostalgic quality to it that I can't seem to get enough of. I hope you enjoyed it to. If so, you can follow Laura's blog here to keep up with her work, or browse her Etsy Shop here
